Crookfur Primary
is situated in Newton Mearns, in East Renfrewshire Council.
The associated High School is Eastwood High School and the other
cluster primaries are Uplawmoor Primary and Neilston Primary.

The school roll is currently 335 pupils. There are two classes at each
stage.

| The present
staffing complement is 18.27FTE. We
also have a Learning Support Team including an EAL Teacher.
|
| There are a large
number of placing requests, of which many are from Glasgow.
We have a large number of bilingual pupils.
We operate a policy of inclusion and equality and so have seven
Pupil Support Assistants We also have a full time
Bilingual Support Worker.

| The
school has excellent links with the local community and has a very Parent
Council. The school has a devolved budget from the
local authority: a major part of this is utilised in support of the School
Improvement Plan. |
