We aim:

• to recognise parents as their child’s FIRST educators
   
• to offer advice on how to help with your child’s development and learning
   
• to keep in you touch with your child’s progress at nursery, through meetings with your child’s key worker
   
• to encourage you to take part, if possible, in the life of the nursery
   
• to inform you about ongoing nursery matters
   
• to be sensitive to parents needs

Working together with parents to support learning

Key Worker

Your child’s key worker is a designated member of staff who has special responsibility for a small group of children.  The key worker is responsible for keeping accurate records of your child’s progress, attending reviews, liaising with other agencies and keeping in close contact with you the parent.

Please feel free to talk to your child’s key worker at the beginning or end of the session and if you wish ask to see your child’s development profile.
