| Data Protection Act 1984Information on parents and guardians is stored on a computer system and may be used for teaching, registration, assessment and other administrative duties. The information is protected by the Data Protection Act 1984 and may only be disclosed in accordance with the Code of Practice. For further information, please contact the school. Internet Use All pupils are given the opportunity to develop ICT/Internet skills in a safe and secure environment and it will be necessary for them to access our intranet system. Internet access is always supervised in Kirkhill School but it must be understood that it is not possible to guarantee that pupils will not come across inappropriate material. Access to the internet in school is for educational purposes only. As it is necessary for us to request parental consent to allow pupils access to this curricular area, would you please discuss the following Responsible User Agreement with your child so that he/she is aware of how to behave while using the Internet.
We would also ask you to make your child aware of the expected behaviour in using the system. We do not expect children to abuse the privilege and try to access sites which are forbidden. Pupils should understand that such actions will result in them being disciplined and may lead to the possibility of access being denied. |
