Our School Aims

Our overall aim is that pupils at Mearns Castle will achieve their full potential being safe, happy and well taught. To achieve this aim we are committed to the following:

• To provide a safe, stimulating and secure environment in which teaching and learning can take place with confidence;

• To promote a healthy learning environment that compliments the importance contribution of families and supports the development of healthy lifestyles;

• To provide a curriculum enhanced by technology which will meet the needs of all pupils and enable them to reach their full potential;

• To encourage pupils to develop self-esteem, self-discipline and to show respect, tolerance and care for others and the environment.

• To provide pupils with the knowledge and skills required for further education, the world of work and generally adult life;

• To promote partnership between the home and the school and the community as crucial in realising our aims and to ensure that parents get a friendly, informed and efficient response to any contact they make with the school.
