Hello from one of Mearns Castle's first pupils

Hi there, I was browsing your website and came across the Alumni page, where you asked that anyone who was a former pupil and is now successful, to get in touch. Well, I was one of the first pupils at Mearns Castle High and moved from Williamwood High when we were given the option to do so. I have very fond memories of the school and I am now a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology at Teesside University, Middlesbrough. Prior to this I spent 22 years in the Royal Air Force Police. Former pupil running in London Marathon for Charity

A successful former pupil of Mearns Castle High School, Andrea Young (and mother of Craig Young in S5) and Vivian Miller (and mother of Laura Miller) will be running in the London Marathon in 2010 on behalf of the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. They are very keen to raise funds for a project to help bereaved children and young people, as the services are very poor . . . The Butterfly Project.
