RIGHTS RESPECTING SCHOOL AWARD

The St. Mark’s Rights Respecting Steering Group have been working very hard this year.  They have been raising awareness of Children’s Rights throughout the whole school by speaking at assemblies, handing out leaflets and posters and having regular meetings to discuss what needs to be done in our school.  We have had many fundraising projects for Unicef – they are the biggest supporters of Children’s Rights across the world.  We recently wore our pyjamas to school and all the money raised went to Unicef so that they can help children who don’t receive the things they really need like clean water, decent shelter, nutritious food and an education.  Unicef sent out two inspectors to our school on Friday 27th February. They were so impressed with what they found going at St. Mark’s that they awarded us with their Level One award.  We are sure this is just the start of our Rights Respecting journey!
