Vision:
We aim to embed a climate of achievement and ambition for ALL our students through ' The St Ninians Gold Awards for Excellence'.
The awards will be 2 fold:
1. Celebrate outstanding contribution and excellence
2. Formal recognition of wider achievement
How will we do this:
We will have two set of awards:
Whole School Awards for Excellence and PSHE Awards for Excellence.
All pupils will have the opportunity to nominate and be nominated through the award scheme. Staff will also be given the opportunity to nominate on the students who come through their depatrments and decided on students who should gain an 'Excellence Award' in their subject. The awards will be criteria based as has been presented to our students at assembly and through PSHE. This will encompass the entire years work and efforts. Students will be presented with Specific awards in shape of badges/ medals/ plaques/ hand statues and all will recieve an Excellence framed certificate. We will also have for specific awards an Excellence Board which will be up in school and names of those pupils who gain the Ambassador Award will be printed on this board and their to stay.
When:
Pupils have the year to work towards one or more of the Awards. Voting will begin in May 2009 and presentations will be made by the end of May.
