What is a personal learning plan?
The process by which pupils and parents
are involved in discussions about individual strengths, areas for
development and targets for improvement.
What does a PLP set out to achieve?
- Identify a student's learning style
- Create strategies for each student to
meet goals and targets
- Identify a student's academic strengths
by documenting samples of best work
- Develop future plans by establishing
academic, career, personal, social and health targets. Review and
additions are continuous
- Record academic and all personal awards
- Examine and document personal interests
and abilities as well as community involvement and volunteer work.
